An electrical industry client based in Austin, Texas contacted C&P Plastics when they needed a GPO-3 insulator component to be constructed. Meeting tolerances as low as (±) .010 of an inch, we combined our CNC routing, CNC milling, to construct this part based off a customer supplied 2D print.
To begin this process, we first used our CNC router to rout the profile of the part. We then drilled and countersunk all holes using our CNC milling machinery. We additionally stamped a part number into the component. After manufacturing was complete, we used a combination of height and pin gauges and calipers to inspect the insulator component for any flaws. Once assured that the GPO-3 insulator component met all of our client's unique product specifications, we then delivered the finished unit to our buyer's facility in Austin, Texas.
